Charmaine Watkiss _ Artifact / Memory – Leaving a Trace
- I had this opportunity to work with different mediums and material for this session to draw from single object to reflect the idea of past-present-future.
- For me was very instructive to explore the idea of an object deformation in my drawings based on time passing.
- I tried different types of paper to see how the texture could create a new effect of using each various mediums.
- I examined the concept of repetition in order to question how I can show the relationship between time-lapse and objectivity during this workshop which was very helpful to my own practice.
Glynis Lamond _ The everyday ; Past and Present
- During this workshop we learnt a new technique to print on a wood sticks by using gesso and white color.
- We talked about our most common daily experiences as a group and each of us chose an everyday subject to draw about it.
- I tried to explore the idea of news and newspaper during my cultural history.
- It was a new experience for me to mix two different mediums and get a novel result out of it.
Caroline Holt-Wilson _ Slow and Reflective
- This workshop was about our group members to draw in reaction to an object within a specific time structure.
- The fact that we were all sharing one paper to draw on and create a new depiction out of different interpretations was a new experience for me.
- It was a great exercise to use my imagination to create a drawing which was following the previous marks on that paper.
- We have got very interesting result by this collaboration.
